Player's Name: (What do we call you?) Other Characters: (Any other characters on this site? If so, who?) Contacts: (How do we get in touch with you? PM & cbox is fine if you don't want to give out any private messengers.) Random Fact: (Something interesting about you.)
Name: Luc Nicholas St. James Alias: n/a Age: nineteen Birthday: june 22 Gender: male Species: human Social Class: quite poor Job/Position: a painter, not famous in the least Sexual Preference: bisexual with male preference
Hair: a dark brown, not too long, not too short, and tousled Eyes: a light hazel Height: 6'1" Weight: around 155 lbs
Luc is quite evidently a troubled and unbalanced boy. His emotions are generally all over the place, and can change in the blink of an eye. What he displays the most frequent however, is unease and anger. Normal people would find it difficult to approach him, as there would be no way to tell how he would react to them. The safest choice would be to keep a distance away from Luc. He will display bursts of confidence one day, and inferiority the next. He will be polite to those who deserve it, but he will always appear to be strangely socialized. Those with high perception will know that there is a lot happening beneath the surface, a lot that Luc has and still is struggling with.
He doesn't have many or any friends --as he can easily scare away those who are not used to dealing with someone like him. He hasn't spoken to either of his parents in years, and would like to keep it that way. The estrangement from his family has had its effect on him, but he knows himself to be much better off staying away from them. Far away.
Luc was born the son of a pastor, and therefore was exposed to the faith and his father's preaching almost from birth. It was apparent from the beginning that he would be expected to become a pastor like his father and later take over his life's work.
While at first honoured that he could someday be like his father, this feeling changed over the years.
Luc came to hate everything about Religion. And soon enough, when seeing the suffering and strife around him, refused to believe that god was real.
When in his teenage years, he rebelled against his father, taking up painting, and even having relations with people of the same sex.
The preacher, who had been beating his wife behind closed doors until that point, became increasingly more violent due to the frustration he felt about his son. He was soon beating his wife out in the open, where his son could see, while calling him a dirty, useless sinner. When Luc said that he had no intention of taking over and becoming a priest, his father nearly beat his mother to death.
This is when Luc stepped in and caused his father quite some harm...
His mother, rather than thanking him, was disgusted with Luc, and refused to say a word to him. Feeling more of an outsider than ever before, he decided that it would be best for him to disappear.
So he packed his few belongings and disappeared in the middle of the night, leaving nothing but a short note. A note he was sure his father would burn and his mother ignore.
Luc lived on the streets for a while, until he got some kind of income from commissions. He was talented, but in no way famous. Therefore commissions were few and far in-between; the pay wasn't the greatest either. But it was enough to buy him some food, a cot, and a roof over his head.
He is trying to become an apprentice, in order to become better at his painting, but he didn't have many connections, and the good or famed painters he came across...either had apprentices already, or wouldn't even consider him because of his status.
Luc now does some odd jobs here and there, between the very few commissions he paints. He is poor, but he has been happier than while living at the church with his parents.
