Despite its name, the forest isn't really foreboding at all. On the contrary, it is a popular getaway, particularly for the gentlemen of society. It has a wide hunting range with lodges for those visiting to stay in. Of course, ladies are more than welcome, with a large variety of stables and trails, it is ideal for horseback riding. Although, it's very recommended visitors don't stray from the designated paths. There have been unfortunate accidents when this have happened, and do not wander out after dark.
