Humans are the lowest on the food chain for any supernatural species. They are normal, average, and fairly boring upon first glance. However, humans have the ability to become werewolves and vampires should they be turned by another of the species. While they may not be powerful enough on their own to fight off the other species, they have power in numbers and are experts at exploiting weaknesses. Despite the fact they do not seem important or special, they've forced werewolves and vampires into hiding due to their merciless numbers.
Fact!: There are a few humans blessed with "magical" abilities. However, these humans are very, very rare. On this site, their numbers are severely limited, and the player must show responsibility before being allowed to play one.

They spend most of their time in human form save for the one night, on the full moon, when they turn into a violent, merciless wolf. They age and die just as humans do. In this state, they lose all senses and become hungry, bloodthirsty monsters. They are incredibly strong in this state, their only weakness being silver.
It's a myth that they can transform at will- no transformation is ever at will, but some grow to accept and relish the change rather than being afraid and hating themselves. Those who accept it often have slight control of what they do while in wolf form while those who are panicked will be vengeful and lash out on others and themselves. It is common for a human who has been bitten by a werewolf to die during their first change.
Werewolves do not generally hunt animals; they lust after human flesh.
Fact!: Lycanthropy can be genetic, if both parents are, the child will be. However, if only one parent is, the child only has a 50% chance of being born as such.

Vampires must feed on human blood for survival. Going without it for a few days will not kill them, but it will significantly weaken them and make them sicker and sicker until death occurs, usually within two weeks. Human blood gives them their enhanced sight, speed, and vision. "Royal" vampires can also gain extra abilities depending on the bloodline, but this is rare and usually occurs in specific generations. Royal vampires have nobility titles among vampires, though they may not necessarily have them with humans- often times, they do. They are very old bloodlines, and one can only be born into it..
True to legend, vampires are weak to sunlight. It will not kill them immediately, but it is extremely painful and drains their energy to move out in it. Often, vampires will bundle up to venture outdoors in order to remain protected. Crucifixes can ward them off in cases of feeding from innocents, though it's not entirely known why. But it won't stop a vampire from ripping out your throat if they feel you've wronged them. A stake through the heart will kill them, but so will chopping them into pieces and burning them into ash. They are not weak to garlic, and their reflections can be seen, contrary to myth. However, their eyes will reflect red, making them easier to spot, so it's often that they avoid looking into reflective surfaces in the presence of humans.
They will age and die, just slower than humans. The first twenty years of life pass by rather unnoticed, but their aging rate is about three to five times that of humans give or take how often they are able to feed and if they've been exposed to injury or sunlight. They are immune to human illnesses but can suffer from blood poisoning.
When turning a human, a vampire must drain the human's blood and allow the human to drink some of theirs. It is a painful process that can drive the human insane or kill them.
Fact!: Vampires can reproduce with each other, but it's rare that this happens due to the fact vampire children can be seen as a danger to the species (they are often reckless and can get the others caught.) However, it's more popular than turning humans!
